Justin Van Leeuwen is a Toronto-born, Ottawa-based, caffeine and pastry-fuelled commercial photographer specializing in interior design, architecture, portraits and events. Justin has a passion for visual storytelling and attempts to convey this through the medium of photography.
He also likes to chat – a lot – And prides himself on creating friendships and communities as we navigate this late-stage capitalist hellscape. While he abhors physical labour and sits watching movies whenever he can, Justin does have an unwavering commitment to excellence in his work, foregoing many modern concepts like “breakfast,” “time off,” and “sleep” to deliver the best for his clients.
His architectural, interior design, and builder clients win again and again at the NKBA’s and GOHBA Housing Design Awards at both the local and national levels. His clients work has been featured in House & Home Magazine, Luxe Magazine, and more.
Corporations hire JVL to document their receptions and events, headshots, and other commercial portfolio needs like custom stock-photography and advertising.
Not content always working “for the man,” Justin also enjoys working long hours with local businesses and individuals to help establish their visual image identity through photography to help better showcase their brand.
